Today agriculture is rapidly moving towards another green revolution through adoption of organic farming on large scale.

Inclusion of organic farming of horticultural crops is one of the major component proposed by National Horticulture Mission (NHM), Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalayan Hill states (HMNEH), the National Vegetable Initiative for Urban Clusters under RKVY and State Governments is, an evidence of increasing emphasis in this matter.

With an aim to extend organic farming in the Arunachal Pradesh state on a large scale and make training and certification system convenient to growers with production, supply chain, processing, marketing and to assist the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh in this noble cause a project has been proposed for “Adoption and Certification of Organic Farming of Horticultural Crops with Traceability in Allo (West Siang) district of Arunachal Pradesh under HMNEH” covering 500 hectares of area.
